All decked out for her 4th of July weekend. My mom bought this outfit even before we knew I was having a girl. I just love it. I just wish I could find some super cute red ribbon or head band....but I haven't been successfull with that one.
We have some fun plans for the long weekend. We are taking Parker to see Ice Age 3 on Thursday. Friday, Ryan is taking me out for dinner and a movie. Saturday we are hanging out with family and going to a 50th wedding anniversary party for friends and fireworks. We love the 4th. Now....I also need to find Parker a patriotic shirt. There were cute ones at Khols but they were in bigger sizes.
HAVE A HAPPY 4th of JULY!

Penny adores her brother....there is no question. Here is a candid shot of her face while playing with Parker James.
This is my current favorite picture, although...Penny's hair looks cuter in person than in this picture. For everything I suffered and went through to get this two beautiful kids....It give me so much joy to see the happiness on their faces. Parker tells me everyday that he is so grateful Penny is with us.

This is the usual image of Penny....it's all she does....all day is stick her fist in her mouth...sometimes she tries for two fists.

Parker at the fun park pictured below. It's in South Jordan. So fun! He looks a lot like my nephew Mitch in this picture....when Mitch was that little.

The Park has this cool toy...you push and pull the handles to work a shovel in the dirt. Tons of fun.

And this is a view of the playground. Although the park has several playgrounds...this one is just unique and so fun and cool. Parker needed a friend though. Mommy just isn't that fun at the park.

This is a dress my mom's dear friend(Pat Hays) made for me when I was a baby. Such a great dress...and Penny looks great in it with her blue eyes.

She loves to cuddle with daddy...I don't even get this kind of cuddle. This is the night before Ryan went out of town for a week. He cried.

So....nothing much going on here. We do have our new fence. We love it. The garden is somewhat growing, but since the sun has been sparse...hoping it makes some improvement this week.
I had to take Bibs in to the Vet this morning. She keeps scratching at a spot near her ear and wanted to make sure it wasn't something other than a sore. It wasn't. And her fur has been weird and greasy and full of dead skin and pulls out easy and she is always desperate for food. The doc drew some blood and found that her kidney and liver function were down. So he gave me some antibiotic and liver strenghening drug and some ointment for the wound and hopefully it is just an infection of some sort and she will be better. Otherwise....I don't know...can't afford something expensive. So in two months we will check again...if the levels go up...she is doing better..if they continue to go down...she is too sick to save. BLAH! WE love this kitty.
Penny will be 5 months old on Friday. It's so hard to believe the time is going by so fast. She continues to be a joy and so funny. Except for right now...she won't sleep and she's cranky. I'll go see what I can do.

I absolutely love it when Parker's friend Alexis comes to play. They always do the funniest and cutest things. And it gives someone else for Parker to bug besides me all day. She came over today with her princess Minnie Hat. So of course, he ran and got his Mickey Mouse ears. They were all set to play Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. They also got Parker's stuffed dog to use as Pluto. I was only allowed to take their picture if I got them some popcorn. So they sat to have their snack by Penny. Penny was smiling so big to be included with the big kids. She loved it. They told me that she was their mouse baby.

This video is worth watching. They are dancing and Parker is walking them through the steps. Where he learned how to dance is beyond me. He told me he doesn't know where he learned. These kids are adorable and I love that Parker has such great friends surrounding him. He has the time of his life on this street.

Right....so this is a 2 1/2 minute video that only parents and grandparents will probably adore....so no pressure to watch it. It is just easier to post videos on blogger than on email since I do not yet have a video editor...Ryan is working on it. But if you want to watch a cute baby laugh in a funny way....please watch. Her laugh sounds like she's in pain....but towards the middle of the video...you can hear for a second a real giggle. Oh it just never gets old for me. I could listen to Parker giggle all day and it never gets old.

Her New Toy and my roses

This is my climbing rose bush I planted last year. It had really taken off. This was taken a couple of days ago....today there are double the amount of blossoms. This is my most favorite thing about my yard. Once the fence is completed....that will come in close second. I was able to get the rest of my flower bed planted this morning. The vegetable garden is doing well in the backyard. The posts are in. The should complete the fence Thursday or Friday...I hope.
I ordered this cute Jump and Go Jumper. She loves it. She mainly just hangs or swings there and will get her feet going to twist the toy....but not quite strong or big enough to bounce. But when I help her bounce...she gets so happy and her little legs just go and go. It keeps her nice and happy when mommy has things to get done.

Look at those legs. They are getting quite the chub on them. I love it. Parker never got the rolly legs. She is a joy!

The Check Up

Penny's check up went great! She smiled and talked to Dr. Paxton at length. She is now 12 lbs. 6 oz. And just over 23 inches long. She is 10% in height and 20% in weight. Which is the same exact percentile she was for 2 months old, so she is at a consistent growth rate. She was very brave with her shots and stopped crying as soon as I picked her up and went back to smiling. She's a good girl.
