Tim Pics

Ain't he pretty?! It was a cool concert and so fun to hear him sing live.

Ok...so these pics are pretty cool....other than the fact that I look greasy.....and I look like Amy the big-faced girl. But it was cool and fun nonetheless. This is me and Steph .....he's just right there....!!!it was awesome.

Words Can Not Express The Hangover!

Ok....the concert.....it's hard to describe...it was incredible. Why? Well....I'll tell you. We had lawn seating. Has anyone been to the Usana Ampitheater? Lawn seating isn't the best. And we thought that we would have our chairs with us and all would be well. As we parked, there was a big sign that said, no lawn chairs. WHAT? We didn't bring a blanket to sit on. Things were going through my mind.....this isn't going to be tons of fun. We are going to be on the ground.....Tim will be as tiny as a pin......I won't get home until after Midnight.....why oh why? Ok...wasn't that dramatic because it was still Tim. And tiny Tim is better than no Tim. So we head in....the K-bull 93 Tent was a happening place. We had heard that they were giving away upgrades on tickets and back stage passes. We stood there a few minutes....trying like mad to dial the phone numbers they were calling out to be the 4th caller for a backstage pass. After a few minutes, the DJ announced that they were going to do a ticket upgrade. He said, "If anyone can pull out of their purse something Disney, I'll upgrade your tickets to second row center." Without a beat, I head up to the guy with my tiny little minnie mouse key chain. I held it up. Another girl came up and had a Winnie Pooh tatoo....he didn't seem interested in seeing that...if you know what I mean....
The guy announced....I'm taking the girl with the Minnie Mouse keychain. We gave them our lawn seating tickets and he gave us second row center tickets. A Tim McGraw Concert MIRACLE!!!!!
We promptly called our husbands to rub in the good news and found our seats. It was amazing and loud. As Tim McGraw took the stage, Security allowed the first two rows only to go in front of the seats and stand at the stage. AAAAAHHHHHH! I haven't stood or danced that long for a very long time. My back didn't hurt....I didn't .....well I did get dizzy....but I had tons of people holding me up. Did I have my camera? No....I thought I would be sitting by the back fence. But my girl Steph had a camera and as soon as she emails the pics to me....oh they will be on my blog for sure.
Time touched our hands as he swept by. He has strong fingers......sigh. I felt 23 again. It was awesome. Of course it was never far from my mind that I am in my 30s married and pregnant with a son and husband waiting for me at home....which makes me happy....but for those few hours last night...I was just Amy and singing the songs I love at the top of my lungs with Steph and all the other peeps we were partying with. Tim is talented and not hard on the eyes....and to be that close....was a chance of a lifetime....nothing that we could ever afford to do other than just having a minnie mouse keychain for a nice upgrade.
Thanks Scott (Steph's husband) for getting the tickets for us. We had the time of our lives.

Some things have been Established

So it has been a very hard week. First off....they announced our ward is splitting. I have very mixed feelings. We find out Sunday what the boundaries will be. I have a feeling it's going to be hard for me to swallow.
So that started the week out not so good. Then, I started getting severe headaches. From what....know not. But I just sat around and bless Parker's heart....he was fine just sitting in the house watching shows or playing with his toys. Maybe it's the heat...my hormones....my drug problem....stress.....anywho...it was awful. I wasn't sleeping, so my fatigue was even worse than it had been. Then a couple of days ago I found Parker's little picnic umbrella had been put up and the wind blew it inside out and then sideways. I just broke down and cried. I know that it was down that morning and I had been out watering....so it was like a space of 30 minutes that I didn't have my eye on the backyard....not that I sit at my back door and watch the world go by....but it was horribly upsetting. We can't afford a new one. So I put it in the trash because I couldn't get it to bend back into place. Then I found a huge dead bird in the yard. I don't deal with dead things. So I was flipping out and Ryan was about to drive home to fix all the freaking out....and my mom came down the street and saved the day on all accounts. She got her handy pliers and fixed the umbrella. And she shoveled up the dead bird....which the neighborhood kids enjoyed....for some reason. I was still in a horrible mood. So I went to Walmart....had to pick up Parker's new car seat. Well....never go to Walmart in a bad mood. Just makes it worse. So I came home and sulked.
I was feeling a little better, so my mom and I went to our weekly dinner. We decided on Winger's. such a horrible idea. They brought me the wrong food and then insisted that it wasn't and just wanted me to pick out the stuff that I didn't like which I didn't order because I don't like it in the first place.....blah!!!~!!
I had a salad. The last time I had a salad as my main course....I ended up very sick and throwing up and what have you.....horrible pain in my stomach...the whole works. So...like clock work...I was up all night with horrible pain and what have you and throwing up and woke up the whole family. It was a delight. What a day. So...no more salad for me. I'm trying to eat healthy and all .....but it's bad.....very bad. I tried to eat some raw carrots yesterday for a snack and got a stomach ache. So...this little fetus inside me hates veggies....common right? I had a cool neighbor say to me....you just have to eat what you can keep down....and if that is milkshakes and fries.....then you have to take one for the team. AMEN!
So now the headaches have gone....I had my parents take Parker for the morning so I could sleep. It was nice. Could I still sleep...hell yes. But the Tim McGraw concert is tonight and my best friend and I have some squealing and coveting to do. I miss Steph. She lives in Atlanta....which means....I barely see her. Now she is here for the month and people in this valley have been nothing but rude to her the whole time she's been here.....so it may be never that she comes back to visit. Take me with you Steph!!!!!!!!
So...according to the charts and pictures....my fetus has flippers. We are very proud. Parker especially thinks it is cool. My next ultra sound is Thursday at 1:30 pm. It's just to check that things are progressing. As sick as I've been....I think we are right on schedule.
I apologized to Ryan last night that I am so crabby and needy. He essentially said, "It thrills me that you are a tyrant, it means we are having a baby." He's such a romantic:)

Ain't Life Grand?

It is. As far as the last two days go....it is. Not much to report, but I'm terribly bored and since this is my only way to record feelings, events, etc....well...I'm wasting time because i'm too tired to continue my cleaning and organizing projects. Parker has grown so much in the last 6 months or so. All of his cute sweatshirts I bought him for the Winter....too small....won't fit him next Winter, so I've been getting all of his clothes sorted and in boxes ready for storage in case this next baby is a boy. This next baby.....whether boy or girl...will want for nothing. We have so much stuff from Parker's babyhood....he was a total miracle so we went nuts and we have tons of toys and clothes. I have half a storage garage full of baby stuff.
I need to take a trip to DI today to find him some Summer pajamas and play clothes.
I also went through the house and got together some stuff to donate to DI. Stuff I just can't seem to sell and it is taking up space in this tiny house. So that is ready.
Yesterday Parker has his first assignment in Primary class at Church. He had to give the opening prayer. There was much confusion because Primary meets in a tiny little room with tons and tons of kids and there was a family that had a boy giving a talk...so every grandparent and aunt and uncle were in there. Well Parker wanted his teacher to help him, so we took a seat in the back. Well...it came time for him to go up to say his prayer and the teacher didn't go up with him....we were stuck in the back wedged in with this other family so we couldn't get up there in time. So a nice sister (a leader in the Primary) helped him out and he said a beautiful prayer....a very sweet and reverent voice. I was proud. I know these moments are not that big of a deal to some, but every little moment with Parker James is a big deal to me.
He came to me this morning while I was sitting here organizing some things at my desk and said, "Mommy, I would like to make a card for Granny." I said, "Why?" He said, "Because my Granny Loves me." The boy can be so sweet. Now why won't he go potty on the toilet when it's time? Beats me. He has been doing better, but if he is busy doing something else, he just goes in his pants. But I think we're making progress.....slowly.....very slowly. This week, pudding as been a great insentive for him. Today, he got to go play at Sister Lyman's (Our Bishop's wife and my very good friend) house. That was supposed to be another insentive. We'll see what happens.

A second Blog

So my friend set up this blog that the only posts will be recipes. And anyone can contribute...if you are interested, let me know. Or, if you want some fun and easy and new ideas for dinner, click on the link and check it out. Right now, there is only one recipe, but I plan to do lots. I just have some church committments right now that will be taking up most of my time, but I'll get to the recipe blog.
The link is in my friends and family links. It's called If you Go Hungry it's Your Own Fault.
If you have a recipe you want to share, send it to me....I'll include it!
I've been wanting to do something like this for a while, so thanks Mel for doing the leg work for me and giving me a place to post my recipes and love of cooking.

First Ultra Sound

Well, it wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be. I thought I would get a printed picture.....but ....the ONE baby is only 1 cm big so all we could make out was the sac. But we could also ....if we looked closely....there was a little blurp in the white static which was the heart beat. It was strong and the size and the beat and everything was in perfect measurement to how far along I am.....7 weeks and 1 day.
My due date is February 5th.
I go again July 3rd....but again it won't be exciting....just making sure that it is progressing and she'll be able to give me the stop dates for all the shots and such.
I'll be calling my OB and setting up my first visit with him which will be the first of August. That will be the exciting ultra sound where I can hear the heartbeat and hopefully get a printed pic.
So...we are very excited. The baby is very healthy and growing on schedule. Everything looked perfect.
Parker cried. He really wanted two babies and thought that would be just perfect. He saw the two embryos, so he just had his mind set on two babies. I think we have him convinced that one baby is perfect and he and I will have tons of fun taking care of it. And the whole household will be happier and more rested with one baby.
Hope everyone is doing well. Thanks for all your good wishes!

A Very Nice Father's Day

I hope everyone had a wonderful Father's Day. Jack, if you are reading this or Chelsea if you could convey the message.....we have a card for you, but because Parker wasn't able to come to your house last week, he wasn't able to give you the card. So it is here waiting for you when you come home. I'm also sorry he wouldn't talk to you on the phone. He was an absolute pill yesterday evening because he wanted to sleep and we wouldn't let him.
However, we had a very nice Father's Day. Parker sang with the primary. His face just lights up with the biggest smile and it makes me cry every time. He'll probably be up there singing when he's 10 and I'll still be crying. He was up there with his friends and did all the motions and sang all the words to "I'm So Glad When Daddy Comes Home." He loved it. Then my dad and Ryan sang with the choir and did excellent. I woke up without a voice, so I was unable to sing. The choir did a fantastic job.
We came home and got to work on making dinner. I made a really yummy italian pasta salad and sweet potato slices with olive oil and italian seasoning. We had Manti Chicken and my mom made a broccoli salad....one of my favorites and what else....oh yeah corn on the cob. It was a feast. My mom made an apple pie. It was a good day....well until Parker got tired and it all went to pot.
I think Ryan had a good day. He didn't really say. He didn't really get a gift because our Wii Fit game and board is all inclusive of the next few Holidays.

So Boring

Well...my life got boring in a big hurry. Well in thinking about it, that is nice....it's nice to just be and not be worried about anything or fretting or waiting and waiting. First ultra sound is coming up next week. Still don't know the exact day. Wish I did. We can't get the Nurse to return our calls. I'm thinking if I had a date and time hammered down...maybe it would go faster....the time.
So my best friend in the whole wide world came into town this week with her mom and kids. I've been so sick with this head cold, but I went to see them yesterday. Her two little girls and Parker got along so well and played and played. Her baby boy is about the most cutest little thing I've seen in a long time. Curly strawberry blonde hair and big blue eyes and just a yapper....he told me all sorts of exciting stories yesterday. He's 3 months old. It was so good to see her and her mom too! She lives in Atlanta Georgia now.....thanks a ton Scott for moving her to the other end of the country from me....it just might be planned that way....j/k.
So Steph and I are going to a Tim McGraw Concert at the end of the month....just like the old days....I can't wait. No husbands or kids....just like the days when we were single and had not a care in the world and we had Tim and his cuteness. aaaahhhhhh....oh I'm excited.
Although...the last time I went to a concert with her to see Kenny Chesney at the same ampitheater.....I spent the better part of the show sick as a dog in the restroom. Fingers crossed....I didn't like that very much. It's a long walk to the bathrooms and well...I don't want to miss the show.
My brother was in town for a few days. He came and had dinner with us a couple of nights and we played games and Wii. It was good to see him. Parker adored him. I've never seen that kid show off for anyone else like that.
What else is up with us.....was supposed to do laundry today and well.....didn't even start.
We get to go to Brick Oven for lunch tomorrow with Steph to celebrate her birthday. I always forget that Brick Oven exists until Steph comes to town or Ryan's Grandma comes to town. Just driving by Brick Oven and smelling the aroma puts on 5 pounds.
I told Parker that Grandpa was taking all of us to a Water Park next month....and that is the truth.....when my whole family comes out for my parent's 50th anniversary....one day is going to be spent at Seven Peaks. Well.....he had to run and tell his best buds Braden and Gavin because he wants them to come too. Well....he kept calling it Water World to the boys. So they asked, "Where is Water World?" He said, "I think in Mexico." Where does he come up with it ? Beats me. I think all of his weird grown up answers come from The Backyardigans or Sponge Bob.

Thank You, Katie

Thank you for teaching me the vast world of html and blogs.

So Parker and his best bud Gavin are playing in his room. They are playing dress up. It's super cute. So I had to get the camera out.

thanks Gavin for being a good friend to my Parker James. He loves you tons.

um...

ok....so do you notice that it is all letters and not the actual pics? I don't know how I can be messing this up. Katie....you may have to come over later.

I need Help

I'm a blog moron!
I need someone to come to my home or give me the easiest instructions....like you would give a 3 year old......so that my slide show can be on my side bar instead of my posts.
Thoughts....feelings....suggestions

Funny Story

You know how parents have these hilarious stories about their kids, but they are only really funny to the parents and nobody else? Then there are the stories that are only funny because you "had to be there."
Well....my story is in both categories but I'm going to tell it anyway, because I am out of things to blog about now that my life has calmed down and all that IVF drama is over.
Last night was the night that my mom and I and usually Parker go out to eat because the boys are at Barbershop practice. Well....I wasn't well, so my mother-in-law took Parker for the night and my mom and I had some Chinese delivered.
So we saved a fortune cookie for Parker because he thinks they are the greatest things.
Today at lunch we gave him the cookie. I read the fortune which said, "You will attend an unusual party and meet someone important." I of course read it dramatically for a 3 yeard old's benefit. His eyes got big with excitement and without missing a beat said, "Like a health inspector!!!!!"
My mom, dad, and I just burst out laughing. Ryan was trying to leave the house to get to a meeting at work. He came back to see what the hub bub was about. We all had tears in our eyes. Parker ran and hid because he thought we were laughing at him. Poor kid....he had to stay in that room for a while, because I couldn't stop laughing. Where would he even come up with the two words, "health inspector?" And why would that be more important to a 3 year old than Superman or Bob the Builder? The kid is so strange and makes me laugh so hard.
Now see.....I told you it is only for those that were there and a bias mom's love. anyway...he's a hoot.
Life is good. I'm sick and I feel like I have the flu, but it is ok. I'm not suffering. I'm always dealing with some sort of pain or discomfort...what's a few stomach churnings?
ok well it's a little worse than that.....for sure more sick than when I had Parker. And the morning sickness came on 2 weeks earlier than with Parker too according to my pregnancy journal. It's all good. Just more experience to enjoy right?
Poor Ryan has worked long days that start way too early then he comes home to the most vicious hormone with eyes. I way freaked out last night because my bed was so uncomfortable and my pillows were wrong and the blankets were crooked. It was truly exciting and a bit sad for a grow woman to throw such a tantrum.
Well....I kind of feel good so I'll go see if Parker wants to help me clean his room.

This isn't for the faint of heart

If you get queasy just thinking about it....don't read this post.
So, we went to pick up my parents at the airport last night. My dad took us all to dinner. We went to Chilis. I had the best salad. We drove home. Things weren't feeling well. I got a stomach ache and just wanted to get home.....fast! So I didn't get to enjoy the salad for very long. I'm not much of a girl that throws up. I usually suppress it until it goes away.....I really hate throwing up. Well...suppressing it wasn't working. Holy moly....I've never had an episode like that. I didn't throw up while pregnant with Parker. I had intense nausea but none of the really bad stuff. I didn't even really understand the meaning of morning sickness until last night and today. So, because of the stomach cramps that I mentioned, I was a bit pre occupied when the salad wanted to get the hell out......so our bathroom garbage can perished. Poor Ryan, he just stood there.....what am I supposed to do with this. I didn't have the heart to make him clean it all out so we just chucked it in the garbage can and thank goodness it was garbage day today.
My stomach was still sore, so it took me a bit to fall asleep. Then an hour later I woke up with the shakes......or rather convulsions. I was freezing and my skin hurt and I just couldn't stop shaking from the inside. It was just like when I was in Labor with Parker....i got the shakes really bad which made getting the epidural an interesting experience. Ryan got me tons of blankets, but I couldn't get control of the shaking. I had a temperature of almost 100 degrees. Then....for some reason....that triggered a launch sequence for pain in a delicate place that felt like little tiny men were giving me a purple nurple. And they were not letting go! WHAT THE HELL? Oh for the love. Now mind you....I'm not complaining. I'm beyond words of excitement that we are having a baby....but for crying out loud. So Ryan got me a heat pad and that helped that pain go away and also warmed me up so I could fall back to sleep. So of course I woke up two hours later totally sweating and peeling off blankets as fast as I could. So today I just feel tingly.....just exactly like I feel when I have a fever and the flu.
so.....I'll only throw up this one time right???????:)

How disturbing

So I found this countdown thingy....and this picture disturbs me....this reminds me of that sculpture that Marie on "Everybody Loves Raymond" did and it freaked them all out because it resembled a body part. EEEEWWWWW!
I've been feeling fine other than extremely tired to the point that I fall asleep on the chair watching tv all the time. I just want to sleep all the time. Otherwise...I feel great.
My bum though hurts and it is hard to walk or wear clothes ....due to the injection sites. I try to shift cheeks every so often....but it still hurts. One more month....hopefully I can get through it. Well of course I'll get through it.
Parker asked me today after seeing this picture of what the baby looks like right now. He said,"so it will grow big so I can play with it in my room?" He keeps getting mixed up and saying he's going to have a big brother instead of a little brother. This will be fun to go through this experience with him and also that he can have this experience of having his mom's belly grow and be the big brother like all of his friends on the block.
